Session Plan — The Garden of Balance

Plant a seed, observe over days, and reflect on patient growth as a sign.

• Reflect A tiny seed becomes a plant slowly. What helps it? What does that teach us about patience?

Children order the seasons of a growing plant and notice the patience in each.

• Question Which season comes first for the seed? Put them in order.
• Reflect The plant cannot rush. What does that teach us about patience?

With pretend coins, children "shop" and sort each item into need vs want.

• Challenge You have 5 coins and a long list. What do you buy first — and why?
• Discuss Buying too much we do not need is "israf" (waste). How do we avoid it?

With few coins, children sort a wish-list into needs first, then wants.

• Challenge You have only three coins. Sort what you must buy first.
• Discuss If you save one coin instead, what could it become?

Each child splits 10 pretend coins across save/spend/give jars and explains the plan.

• Create Put your 10 coins into the three jars. Who will your "give" jar help this week?

Children decorate and label save, spend, and give jars, and name who Give helps.

• Create Make your three jars: Save, Spend, Give. Who will Give help this week?
• Reflect How does it feel to plan a jar just for giving?
