Qubtan is built for children’s benefit but is operated by and for the adults who care for them. We take children’s privacy seriously and collect as little as possible.
1. Adults are in control
The app is not directed to children and is not designed for a child to use on their own. A parent, caregiver, or educator creates the account and decides what limited information to enter about a child.
2. What we collect about a child
We do not knowingly collect contact details, photos, location, or any sensitive information directly from a child.
- A first name or nickname you choose (we recommend a nickname).
- An age range (e.g. 2–3, 4–5, 6–7) and a preferred language.
- Optional focus areas and the observation notes you record.
3. No advertising or profiling of children
We do not show advertising to children and do not build advertising or behavioral profiles. There are no third-party trackers.
4. Parental rights and deletion
A parent or guardian can review, update, or delete a child’s information at any time from the family plan, or by contacting us. If you believe a child provided us information without proper consent, contact us and we will delete it.
5. Compliance
We aim to align with children’s privacy laws such as COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU/UK). Specific obligations depend on where you and your users are located; we encourage operators to confirm requirements for their markets.
